The Sogevinus wine houses, Kopke, Burmester, Cálem and Barros once again stood out in the Wines of Portugal Challenge, promoted by ViniPortugal, which counted with a renowned jury of national and international critics, presided by Luis Ramos Lopes, Editor in Chief of Revista de Vinhos, Charles Metcalfe (UK), Evan Goldstein (EUA), Dirceu Júnior (Brasil), Shinya Tasaki ( Japan), Bento Amaral (Portugal).
In total, the wines from Sogevinus won six medals, two gold medals and four silver medals, having been one of the most awarded producers in the competition.
Among the gold medal winners are Kopke Port 40 Years Tawny and Burmester Port Colheita 1989, which confirms the bet on the production of high quality tawnys stile. Silver medals were awarded to Kopke Port Colheita 1964, Barros special Edition Port Colheita 1974, Cálem L.B.V. 2009 and in the category of Still Douro Wine the Kopke Douro D.O.C. Reserve White 2012.
